tips for Storing hydrated lime

- Avoid moisture, as it will rapidly react with carbon dioxide in the air to form calcium carbonate, causing the quicklime to lose its effectiveness, clump, and deteriorate. The storage container should have excellent sealing performance. AGICO steel silos feature airtight welding and moisture-proof sealing strips to effectively prevent moisture from entering.
- The storage environment should avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature heat sources. The outer layer of the silo can be coated with AGICO’s sun-proof and heat-insulating coating to effectively reduce heat radiation. In areas with large temperature differences, automatic ventilation or dehumidification systems can be installed to maintain a stable temperature inside the silo.
